South African performer who has been trained by PACOFS and has appeared in international productions of The Lion King, and is making her West End debut.

George Asprey - Scar

London-born actor who has been trained at LAMDA and has appeared in various stage productions such as Chicago and Private Lives, and TV shows such as The Crown, Sex Education, and Holby City.

Alan McHale - Timon

Irish actor who graduated from Mountview Academy with a background in theatre productions such as The Clockmaker’s Daughter, Macbeth, and previous performances in The Lion King.

Jorell Coiffic-Kamall - Banzai

London-based performer who has trained at Pineapple Studios and has appeared in theatre productions including The Wind in the Willows and Bend It Like Beckham.

 

Mark Tatham - Ed

South African actor who has trained at the University of the Witwatersrand and has won awards for his performances in musical theatre before appearing in The Lion King in London.

Merryl Ansah - Nala

Graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a background in theatre productions such as Heathers, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, and A Christmas Carol.

Mark Roper - Pumbaa

Experienced actor with a background in theatre productions such as Oliver! Memphis, and Sweeney Todd.

Melone M'kenzy - Shenzi

North London performer with a background in the show from 2003 in various productions, and also a musician with recorded music and live performances.

Shaun Escoffery - Mufasa

Stage performer and singer who has been trained by Barking College of Performing Arts and has appeared in various stage productions such as Les Misérables and Parade, for which he won an Olivier nomination.

Gary Jordan - Zazu

Guildford School of Acting graduate with a strong background in musical theatre productions in Grease, High Society, and Sweeney Todd, and also a pianist and musical director.

Owen Chaponda - Simba

Born in Malawi and graduated from Bird College, he initially performed in the show as a member of the ensemble and later performed the lead role in 2023 in the West End.

Nathaniel Morgan Bennett - Young Simba

Young actor from London who has trained at RnD Creatives and made his West End debut in 2024 as Young Simba.
